Our Story

Run of Hope, originally known as Terry Fox Run, is the corporate community program of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts that was inspired by Terry Fox, a courageous young man with bone cancer who ran across Canada in 1980 to raise funds for cancer research. With a goal to eradicate cancer one day, Terry’s efforts moved Isadore Sharp, Founder and Chairman of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, to get on board almost immediately, supporting Terry’s noble cause. Since then, by means of the collective efforts of the company’s hotels worldwide, Four Seasons raises significant funds and awareness for cancer research each year.
